Hot on the heels of the successful launch of the 2019 hero midrange Android smartphone OPPO F11 Pro in the Philippines, the Chinese tech giant quietly released a more affordable version of the model last April 12, 2019 across the archipelago.
The all-new OPPO F11 comes with several key features that you'll find on its pricier sibling -- but what's cool about it is that it costs PHP 3,000 less than the Pro version.
Sure, the OPPO F11 lacks the Pro's Rising Front-Facing camera - which means that its 6.53-inch Full HD+ LTPS screen has a notch housing its 16 MegaPixel f/2.0 selfie snapper with AI Beautification Software - but this version comes with the exact same Dual Rear Camera module consisting of a 48 MegaPixel f/1.8 main snapper plus a 5 MegaPixel f/2.4 Depth Sensor.
As I've shared in my OPPO F11 Pro post, the primary rear shooter in this set-up had been crafted by the company to deliver "Brilliant Portraits in Low Light"as it comes with 80% larger sensor compared to earlier F-Series models. On top of that, this camera also has a wide aperture, electronic image stabilization, and improved Ultra Night Mode that amazingly combines seven shots into one image to churn out clear and crisp low light shots even without a tripod.
The secondary cam, on the other hand, enables Portrait Mode wherein you can add luscious Bokeh or Blurred Background Effect behind the subject. Apart from taking photos of people, you may also use this mode when taking photos of products or food as it makes the subject pop out in every shot.
Like the Pro version, the OPPO F11 also runs its Color OS 6 skinned Android 9.0 Pie operating system with a 12nm Octa Core MediaTek Helio P70 processor incorporating a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. This chipset is known for being powerful enough to enable a notably smooth gaming and overall mobile experience all while having great energy efficiency that helps extend the phone's uptime.
This CPU is complemented by 6GB of RAM for buttery smooth multitasking experience as well as 64GB of internal storage which you can be augmented further via the smartphone's hybrid secondary nanoSIM slot that also supports microSD memory card expansion up to 256GB.
This model is powered by a large 4,020 mAh Li-Po battery pack that ensures at least a whole day of uptime with regular use -- and what's even cooler is that OPPO F11 comes with the company's patented VOOC Flash Charging innovation that cuts the regular charging time to almost half so you can spend less time plugging the device to an electrical outlet or powerbank and more time using it on the go.
For security and privacy, this handset comes with both Facial Recognition incorporated in the front camera and a rear-mounted Fingerprint Scanner, which both a veritable layer of protection - on top of the usual pattern or passcode unlock - against those who want to peek at or steal your private content, including photos, videos, and messages, without your consent.
In terms of build and design language, OPPO F11 flaunts a high-gloss polycarbornate shell with rounded sides and corners, which looks very classy. The metallic accents even add an air of corporate sophistication to the device. If you're a young professional who's always out on meetings, you won't be shy to put this smartphone on the table for your workmates or clients to see.
Priced at PHP 15,990, OPPO F11 is now available at all OPPO Concept Stores and authorized retail channels of the company both online and in major shopping outlets nationwide. This model will initially be out in two very elegant colors, namely, Marble Green and Flourite Purple.
This is the right new OPPO smartphone for you? Well, you don't care too much about the notch-less screen as well as the rising front-cam of the Pro version, then go ahead and spend PHP 3,000 less by getting the regular OPPO F11.
Side Note: Interested buyers may also avail of the OPPO F11 through Home Credit at 0% interest with up to 6 months and 9 months to pay.
