OPPO F9 Twilight Blue Version, More Actual Unit Photos as Visual Treat
Loading...
In my previous blog post about the freshly announced OPPO F9, most of the photos of the smartphone that I used showed the Sunrise Red version, which has an attractive Red-Purple Gradient look.
I know that some of you might be wondering if I also got the chance to see with the Twilight Blue model with a Black-Blue Gradient -- and yes, I played with that variant too during the official launch of the OPPO F9 held at the Grand Ballroom of Shangri-La at the Fort in BGC, Taguig City.
In fact, I was able to snap some photos of the OPPO F9 Twilight Blue version at the product exhibit area of the event venue -- thanks to Raymart, a friendly OPPO staff manning the booths.
Check out the images here.
The face of the OPPO F9 looks similar across all color variants, including the Starry Purple model that's slated to arrive later this year -- perhaps by September 2018.
The tall 19.5:9 6.3-inch FullHD+ IPS display is framed by thin black bezels in all sides and has a small Waterdrop shaped notch on top, which is currently unique to this smartphone.
Both OPPO F9 Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue have the same Diamond Cut pattern on the back plate that gleams every time lights hits it.
This visually appealing design element makes the OPPO F9 glitter like a precious gem when you hold it up in a well-light spot.
If you want your handset to look precious and unique all while having an an air of elegance and sophistication, I think you can't go wrong choosing any of the color variants of the OPPO F9.
As I've said, OPPO F9 Twilight Blue has a Black-Blue Gradient; The upper part has a Jet Black tone, which slowly transforms to Royal Blue as it approaches the rear of the device. You can clearly see this transformation when you inspect the color of the metallic midframe that's sandwiched by two sheets of glass.
The glass panels that OPPO used on the F9 have a 2.5D curvature on the sides to provide a better, more luxurious feel in the hand when hold the device.
Side Note: I know that there are rumors that OPPO used polished acrylic sheets in lieu of actual glass in crafting the shell of this model along with the OPPO F7. So far, the company hasn't denied nor confirmed this allegation.
As you can see in the photo below, the module for the Dual Rear Camera set-up protrudes ever slightly at the back, making it an impact point when you place the handset on a table. This is perhaps the reason why the company is including a free soft gel case in the official retail package.
If you ask me, though, I don't think the metallic rim as well as the glass on top of the lens are all that easy to scratch. So if ever I'll be getting this smartphone, I will opt to just use it daily without any protection. I wouldn't want to hide that beautiful gradient and Diamond-Cut pattern under thick silicone.
